What is Phase?

Phase is a productivity system that connects the dots between your biology and your workload, to help you do the right work, at the right time, for you. Unlike traditional task managers, Phase recognizes that your energy and mental strengths shift based on biological rhythms - including the menstrual cycle, sleep & stress. We organize your work and schedule in alignment with these natural fluctuations, to improve your output.

Phase integrates with tools like Notion, Asana, Trello, Google Calendar, Slack, and Chrome to keep you in sync wherever you work. Think of it as your secret weapon for optimising every single day.

Who is Phase for?

Phase is for ambitious, self-aware women who are questioning the sustainability of conventional productivity culture. You're likely working in tech, creative industries, consulting, healthcare, or startups - environments where you have some autonomy over your schedule. You're looking for a smarter, more aligned way to work that respects your natural fluctuations rather than forcing you to show up the same way every single day.

Right now, Phase can be used by anyone with a menstrual cycle including those on most forms of contraception.

How does Phase work?

We’ve teamed up with scientists to crack the code of how your hormones shape six key areas of cognition — your energy, focus, reflection, communication, motivation, and creativity. Our algorithm translates this research into daily, actionable insights tailored to your cycle. It’s like having a data-driven coach in your pocket, which understands your natural rhythms and will support you to be your best.

Here’s how Phase is there to support you throughout your menstrual cycle:

Daily radar charts show how your energy, focus, and creativity are shifting.
Task prompts suggest what to tackle (or avoid) each day. Integrate with your existing task managers to get tasks ranked based on alignment not just urgency or priority.
Cycle-aware calendar views help you plan weeks ahead, scheduling tough tasks during your natural peaks.
Smart integrations with Google Calendar and Chrome keep you updated on where you are in your cycle—without interrupting your flow.

How does Phase track cycles?

We keep it simple. In the onboarding, we will ask you to tell us about your period history, including the first day of your last period and your average cycle length. With time, you will be able to sync this information from an existing period tracker, like Apple Health. We’ll then use AI to predict your cycles going forward. If your cycle’s a little unpredictable, no problem—we’ll adapt as you log daily feedback. Think of it as a collaboration, not just another tracker.

Does Phase work if I'm using contraception?

Yes! When you register for Phase, we will ask you a series of onboarding questions, including whether or not you are using birth control, and if so, what type. Some types of contraception (e.g. condoms), won’t impact your natural hormonal shifts, others (like the pill), will. Once we know what type of contraception you are using (if any), we can adjust the algorithm to ensure that if you are taking additional hormones, the recommendations you receive are relevant for you. Is Phase private? Is my data safe?

Absolutely. Your privacy is non-negotiable. All your data is encrypted, and we fully comply with GDPR. We will never share your data and you can delete it whenever you like. Read our privacy policy for the details.

Not only is your data secure, but Phase is 100% private. Which means the extension, even when in your calendar and events is only visible by you.

Can I get Phase for my Team?

While Phase is designed for individuals, we’d love to help teams get on board, and are happy to sell multiple accounts to your company or team. Reach out to us to discuss custom pricing.

What platforms is Phase available on?

Phase is available on iOS, Android, web, and a Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser extension (which adds Phase to Google or Outlook Calendars). We’re releasing new extensions all the time, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

How do I pin the Phase extension to my toolbar?

Go to ‘Manage extensions’ in your browser settings
Within Phase, select ‘Details’
Scroll down through details to ‘Pin to toolbar’, and enable this setting.
