Integrating Phase with Asana
Phase × Asana
See Which Project Tasks Fit Your Brain Today
Asana keeps complex projects moving. Timelines, dependencies, team assignments, cross-functional handoffs. It's built for coordination at scale. But coordination doesn't tell you which of your 30 assigned tasks to open first at 9am.
The Phase × Asana integration imports your active tasks and evaluates each one against your current cognitive profile. That marketing brief, the stakeholder review, the data pull for Q3 reporting. They all need doing, but they don't all suit the same brain state. Phase ranks them so you're matching task type to cognitive strength, not just reacting to what's overdue.
Asana manages the project. Phase manages the person doing the work.
How Phase Works with Asana
Once connected, Phase regularly and securely syncs your active Asana tasks ..
Each task is assessed based on what it asks of your brain. Writing an annual strategy and filing expenses don’t compete for the same mental resources.
Based on where you are in your cycle, Phase knows your cognitive profile for the day, and in the coming weeks.
Each task receives an alignment score based on how well it fits your current and upcoming cognitive strengths. That score helps you see which work fits today, which will feel harder, and which is better saved for a more aligned moment in the month.
Importantly, your tasks remain unchanged in Asana. Phase reads them securely, holds them for your eyes only, and ranks them inside Phase.
With Phase & Asana you can prioritise tasks based on biological alignment alongside other key metrics like priority and due date.
What You Can Do with the Phase + Asana Integration
1. See your Asana tasks through a biological lens
Each task is evaluated against your current strengths across focus, creativity, motivation, communication, reflection, and energy.
Your Asana board has 47 tasks across three projects. Phase doesn't care about the project structure. It cares about what each task asks of your brain. The stakeholder presentation and the expense reconciliation sit in different projects but compete for the same morning. Phase tells you which one your brain is built to handle right now.
2. Rank by alignment, not just urgency
Phase ranks tasks using multiple inputs including:
• Biological alignment
• Due date
• Priority level
This prevents you from spending your sharpest hours on shallow work, and delays high impact work for when you're more likely to find flow.
3. Plan ahead using your upcoming phases
Phase shows when certain types of work will feel more natural in the coming days. This isn’t just about alignment for today - it’s about planning strategically for the future too. Scroll ahead to see when each task will be most aligned with your strengths.
That cross-functional deliverable due next Friday? Phase can show you which days between now and then your cognitive profile best supports the type of thinking it demands. Plan your contribution for when alignment is highest, not just when the deadline is nearest.
4. Reduce decision fatigue
No more staring at your Asana list wondering where to start. The ranking is done.
Phase lets you know where you are most likely to find success today.
